Irfan Pathan to Warner, FOUR, streaky boundary for Warner! Good length on the off stump, pitches and moves away from the left hander, Warner pushes at it and the ball goes off a thickish outside edge over 2nd slip down to the third man fence
Praveen Kumar to Shane Watson, out Caught by Umesh Yadav!! Well Watson's comeback doesn't last for long! Slightly shorter in length, not much pace in the delivery, Shane Watson tries to pull it across the line over the infield but he doesn't really time his shot and the ball goes to Yadav at widish mid-on for a simple catch. India know they have got the wicket of a man who can cause some serious damage and by the crowd's reaction it seem as though they know it too. Shane Watson c Umesh Yadav b Praveen Kumar 1(7)
Irfan Pathan to Forrest, FOUR, poor delivery from Irfan Pathan, length on the pads, Forrest flicks it away down to fine leg for a boundary
Irfan Pathan to Warner, leg byes, FOUR, attempted yorker outside the line of leg stump, Warner tries to flick it away but it goes off his foot down to the fine leg fence for a boundary
Praveen Kumar to Forrest, out Bowled!! Chopped on! Back of a length again from Praveen Kumar, Forrest gets on his toes and pushes at it off the back foot, the ball goes off his inside edge and back onto the stumps. Forrest looks disappointed, he probably needed a little more luck and perhaps a lot more conviction in that shot to still be out there. Forrest b Praveen Kumar 7(18) [4s-1]
Irfan Pathan to Warner, FOUR, slaughtered! Full and wide outside off, Warner swats it away over the infield to deep extra cover for a boundary!
Irfan Pathan to Warner, FOUR, slightly shorter in length, Warner moves across his crease and whips it away to deep mid wicket for another boundary. Pressure on Irfan now!
Praveen Kumar to Michael Hussey, FOUR, supreme timing! Slightly short pitched on off and moved away, Michael Hussey waited on it and just punched it to deep backward point, through the gap on the off side for a boundary!
Ashwin to Michael Hussey, out Michael Hussey Run Out!!1 run completed, lack of communication there! Michael Hussey drove the ball through the off side and the man at cover dived over the ball and let it through him. The batsmen picked up a single on the misfield and then thought of going for the second. Pathan fired a throw in from the deep and for some reason after making it half way through Warner sent his partner back. Ashwin whiped off the bails quite quickly and sent Hussey packing. Michael Hussey run out (Irfan Pathan/Ashwin) 10(21) [4s-1]
Umesh Yadav to Warner, FOUR, shorter this time from Umesh Yadav, Warner pulls it in the air to backward square leg for a boundary!
Umesh Yadav to Warner, FOUR, timed to perfection that one! That shot birngs up Warner's half century! Fuller outside the off stump, Warner gets on to the front foot and drives it to sweeper cover for a boundary
Umesh Yadav to Warner, FOUR, horrible fielding from Gambhir! Lacklustre approach from the senior! Short and wide outside the off stump, Warner slaps it away to deep backward point and Gambhir decides that bending down to pick up the ball is a little too much to expect from him and he lets the ball go under his fingers to the boundary
Ashwin to Warner, FOUR, poor delivery! Short outside off, Warner gives himself some room and cuts it to sweeper cover for a boundary
Ravindra Jadeja to Warner, out Caught by Raina!! brilliant catch! But Raina bumped into Irfan and both of them seem to be hurt! That clash looked very painful! On the off stump, Warner has a swipe across the line, the ball slices up in the air and goes towards backward square leg. Irfan runs in from fine leg and Raina runs back from square leg. Both of them want it, Raina gets to it first and latches onto it but the two men don't see each other and the ram into each other. Well at least Warner won't cause anymore damage. Irfan has gone off the field for a bit. Warner c Raina b Ravindra Jadeja 68(66) [4s-7]
Sehwag to Wade, FOUR, on the attack straightaway. That's the first boundary in 11 overs. Sees the flight and gives the charge, swings across the line and collects a boundary to deep mid wicket region
Sehwag to David Hussey, FOUR, poor ball. Can't bowl there to Hussey. Slow and short, Hussey rocks back and pulls it to deep backward square leg, there are 2 men in the deep but he picked his spot
Ravindra Jadeja to David Hussey, FOUR, poor bowling. It's the first ball of the powerplay and Jadeja drags it short, Hussey pulls it away wide of deep square leg. "Do not bowl short to the Hussey brothers" : India's bowlers should write it in the dressing room.
Ravindra Jadeja to Wade, FOUR, not sure if it was intentional, but he gets another 4. This was better from RJ - a skiddy delivery outside off, Wade punches through the off side and gets an gets a thick edge that goes between Dhoni and short third man, another boundary!
Ashwin to Wade, SIX, why do they bowl short? I just don't understand. This was a bit quick but too short, Wade rocks back quickly and smashes it over deep mid wicket, what a shot to get to a half century!
Umesh Yadav to Wade, out Caught by Dhoni!! A wicket for Umesh! That's an important strike too. Good bowling - the off cutter that pitches back of a length around off - Wade looks to run it down to third man and opens the face of the bat, only manages a thick edge through to Dhoni. Ends a good innings from Wade, he has played his part here. Wade c Dhoni b Umesh Yadav 56(66) [4s-2 6s-1]
Umesh Yadav to David Hussey, 1 run, FIFTY for Hussey, his 4th of the series! Gets there with a steer to third man, not very intentional but still he gets the single. He is in terrific form, and that doesn't seem to end.
Umesh Yadav to David Hussey, out Caught by Dhoni!! Uh oh, that's what you call a commentator's curse! Sorry David. Umesh bangs it in short and Hussey immediately goes for the pull shot, the ball bounces a touch extra and takes the edge to Dhoni. A huge, huge wicket this for India, could make a difference of around 30 runs easily! Umesh strikes again in the death overs, that's his second wicket of the day. David Hussey c Dhoni b Umesh Yadav 54(64) [4s-2]
Umesh Yadav to Christian, FOUR, not all short deliveries fetch wickets. Lesson learnt by Umesh. Too short this time, Christian stays in the crease and slaps it through deep mid wicket, huge gaps in that area too
Sehwag to Clint McKay, out Stumped!! I was just wondering why Sehwag is bowling in the death but here's the reason. Gentle flight luring McKay forward, he overbalances as he pushes it and misses the ball as well, Dhoni is as quick as ever to whip the bails off. The third umpire was not even needed for that one. "Sehwag-Dhoni combination does it for India", says Sanjay Manjrekar. Haha! Clint McKay st Dhoni b Sehwag 1(2)
Umesh Yadav to Christian, no run, well stopped Umesh! Harsh people may call that a catch dropped. Length ball on the off, Christian absolutely blasts it straight back to Umesh, who somehow manages to not get injured!
Umesh Yadav to Christian, FOUR, nicely flicked. This was faster and fuller, Christian takes it off his pads and whips it along the ground wide of deep square leg, a much needed boundary for Australia
Sehwag to Brett Lee, out Caught by Virat Kohli!! Another wicket for Sehwag and this is turning out to be a dream spell in the end. Lee comes down the track but Sehwag slows it up and drags it even shorter, he is not to the pitch of it but goes through with the heave, mistimes it to deep mid wicket where Kohli takes a good catch running to his right. India continue to strike in the death overs. Brett Lee c Virat Kohli b Sehwag 4(15)
Sehwag to Doherty, SIX, that's the risk involved with bowling a part timer! Doherty knows that the line will be outside off so shuffles across and heaves it way over deep mid wicket, much needed blow
Sehwag to Christian, out Caught by Ravindra Jadeja!! Christian holes out. This was there for him to be hit and he charged down the track, smashed it well but hit it flat and straight to long on. Yet another wicket for Sehwag, he has bowled an excellent spell despite that last over 6. Australia end up with a score just over 250. Christian c Ravindra Jadeja b Sehwag 24(32) [4s-2]

Hilfenhaus to Sehwag, FOUR, he absolutely murdered that! That came right out of the meat of the bat! Not afraid to take the aerial route as usual, it was a length delivery outside off stump, Sehwag just slahes it off the back foot to sweeper cover for a boundary
Hilfenhaus to Sehwag, out Caught&Bowled!! Brilliant catch! Sehwag's woes with the bat fail to cease! Pitched up this time, Sehwag tries to play a full blooded drive straight back past the bowler, but the bat turns in his hand and the ball goes in the air towards the bowler. Hilfenhaus bends down and takes a splendid catch. Sehwag c and b Hilfenhaus 5(11) [4s-1]
Brett Lee to Tendulkar, byes, FOUR, some insane amount of in swing after the ball had crossed Tendulkar! Pitched outside off stump and swung in to the right hander, Tendulkar let it go through to the keeper who tried to dive to his left and cover the swing, but the ball just went past him to the fine leg boundary
Brett Lee to Gambhir, leg byes, FOUR, sliding down the leg side, the ball goes off the back pad to the fine leg boundary. For some odd reason Brett Lee decides to appeal for lbw but one would really need another set of stumps for that ball to hit the timber
Brett Lee to Tendulkar, 1 run, short of a length again, Tendulkar taps it to point and rushes through for a single, Mike Hussey underarms it towards the stumps at the striker's end. Had he hit Gambhir might have had to make the long walk back
Hilfenhaus to Tendulkar, FOUR, the upper cut from Tendulkar! Short outside off, Tendulkar employs the upper cut and it goes of a top edge over the slip cordon to third man for a boundary
Hilfenhaus to Tendulkar, FOUR, great timing! Slightly back of a length, Tendulkar drives it on the up off the back foot square of the wicket for a boundary
Brett Lee to Gambhir, leg byes, FOUR, short delivery, fast bouncer really! Gambhir has no idea of how to play it, the ball flicks the gloves and goes above the keeper's gloves. Gambhir looked all out of sorts there, umpire Bowden thought that went off the helmet and signalled leg byes. Gambhir showed the umpire his gloves since he wanted the runs, I'm not sure he would really want to claim runs for a shot like that!
Brett Lee to Gambhir, out Tendulkar Run Out!! Well well another controversial incident at the SCG. Back of a length delivery on the off stump, Gambhir tapped it towards point and rushed through for a quick single, Brett Lee for some reason ran half way down the pitch and then stood his ground. Warner ran in picked up the ball and under armed it to the stumps on the dive and hit. Tendulkar was short of his crease but he felt Lee obstructed him and he look quite disappointed and even signaled to the square leg umpire that he felt Lee was in his way. However, Taufel didn't have any hesitations in giving that out. He doesn't bother asking the Aussie captain to reconsider "in the spirit of cricket". Tendulkar run out (Warner) 14(15) [4s-2]
Hilfenhaus to Virat Kohli, FOUR, Virat Kohli gets onto the front foot and drives it along the ground to long off for a boundary
Clint McKay to Virat Kohli, FOUR, free hit hammered! Short delivery on middle and leg, Virat Kohli pulls it away with some force to backward square leg for a boundary
Hilfenhaus to Gambhir, FOUR, excellent shot! Clean strike from Gambhir! Short outside off stump, Gambhir does very well to get on top of the bounce and cuts it away to deep backward point for a boundary!
Hilfenhaus to Gambhir, FOUR, consecutive boundaries for Gambhir! Full toss outside the off stump, Gambhir drives it along the ground to deep backward point for a boundary
Clint McKay to Gambhir, FOUR, streaky boundary! On a good length outside the off stump, Gambhir gets onto the front foot and tries to defend it but the ball flies off the outside edge past Watson at 1st slip to third man for a boundary
Shane Watson to Virat Kohli, out Caught by Christian!! Fuller on middle, Virat Kohli tries to whip it across the line and ends up hitting it in the air. The ball goes straight to Christian at mid-wicket who takes a decent catch to send Kohli packing. This partnership was beginning to threaten but Australia broke through just before it flourished. Virat Kohli c Christian b Shane Watson 21(27) [4s-2]
Clint McKay to Gambhir, out Bowled!! Ugly looking drive and Gambhir has chopped it on! Playing very far away from his body, minimal feet movement to a full delivery outside the off stump. Gambhir tried to drive it through the off side but gets an inside edge that goes off the pads onto the stumps. There was a huge gap between the bat and his body there, Yokozuna could have walked through that gap, I kid you not! Gambhir b Clint McKay 23(48) [4s-3]
Shane Watson to Raina, FOUR, sublime timing from Raina! Full outside the off stump, Raina gets onto the front foot and drives it along the ground between extra cover and long off for a boundary
Shane Watson to Raina, out Caught by Wade!! Poor shot selection from Raina! If you thought Gambhir was driving away from his body think again because Raina has given his colleague some competition here. It was full and wide outside off stump, no real need to even go anywhere near the ball. Raina tries to drive it through the off side away from his body and he ends up getting the outside edge. Wade takes a fairly simple catch and the umpire raises the index finger. Once again Raina has shown a glimpse of brilliance and departed shortly after. Raina c Wade b Shane Watson 8(7) [4s-1]
Clint McKay to Dhoni, no run, it looks like Watson has put it down at 1st slip! Dhoni gets an extra life. Lenght delivery outside the off stump, Dhoni has a feel for it outside the off stump and the ball goes off the outside edge to Watson. The fielder though fails to hold onto it
Clint McKay to Ravindra Jadeja, FOUR, short and wide outside off stump, Ravindra Jadeja gets on top of the bounce and drives it square to deep backward point for a boundary
Christian to Ravindra Jadeja, out Caught by Shane Watson!! Gone. Another left hander fishes outside off and gets an edge. Back of length and angled across Jadeja who looks to punch away from the body, only manages an edge to slip where Watto takes a sharp catch. He didn't have a great time with the bat but the Aussie skipper is having a good day on the field. India slip further. Ravindra Jadeja c Shane Watson b Christian 8(17) [4s-1]
Hilfenhaus to Ashwin, FOUR, risky shot! That's almost catching practice to slip. A bit short from Hilfy, Ashwin allows it to come on and then plays a late cut uppishly but wide of Watson at slip.. nearly gone but well controlled
Hilfenhaus to Dhoni, out Lbw!! That's the end of Dhoni, and I guess the Indian hopes. Good delivery from Hilfenhaus, pitches it on length and gets it to skid on sharply, Dhoni was on the backfoot and was beaten by the pace as he looked to flick, trapped in front of leg stump. He was looking to play himself in again, but fails to do so today. Replays show that the ball would have just clipped the leg bail. Dhoni lbw b Hilfenhaus 14(49)
Hilfenhaus to Irfan Pathan, no run, was that a chance? Would have been another superb return catch had he taken it. Pathan drives this full ball firmly back to Hilfy who fails to hold on to a tough low chance
Hilfenhaus to Irfan Pathan, SIX, WHAT.A.STRIKE!. That's the way you deal with free hits. A back of a length ball on the middle stump, Pathan stands in his crease and swings across the line, meets it in the middle of the bat and absolutely murders it over deep mid wicket, something to cheer about for India's fans
Doherty to Irfan Pathan, FOUR, is that a drop? Oh yes. A tough chance though. Pathan charges down the track to this full toss and lofts this to long on, doesn't get hold of it but it goes low to Forrest who dives forward and allows it to go through his fingers for four
Doherty to Ashwin, FOUR, clever batting. Very good shot, makes room and comes down the track, picks it up on the full and clears the in field on the off side, didn't try to hit too hard but just concentrated on clearing the in-field
Doherty to Ashwin, out Caught by Shane Watson!! Uh oh, that's a very soft dismissal. Would have been a wide had he left it alone. This was flat and angled in down the leg side, Ashwin tries to collect a single by working it to the on side but closes the bat a bit too early, gets a leading edge that lobs to mid wicket for Watson's easiest catch in his career. The fact that Ashwin is the highest scorer for India so far in this game tells a tale in itself. Ashwin c Shane Watson b Doherty 26(37) [4s-2]
Brett Lee to Irfan Pathan, SIX, ok that's the shot of the day. And probably the shot of the series. Too much hype? I don't know but that shot is worth it. A length ball on middle stump, Pathan puts a foot forward and lifts it with a straight elbow, clears long on with ease. Terrific strike that, wonderful timing!
Brett Lee to Irfan Pathan, out Caught by Michael Hussey!! Pathan perishes to a full toss! That could have been hit anywhere but Pathan has missed out on it big time. Looks to swing across the line and gets a thick top edge that goes high in the air, Hussey settles under it at deep square leg and completes a good catch. Australia a wicket away from sealing their place in the finals. Irfan Pathan c Michael Hussey b Brett Lee 22(22) [4s-1 6s-2]
Doherty to Praveen Kumar, out Bowled!! End of the match. Doherty fires in an arm ball outside off, Praveen Kumar stays in the crease and looks to slap it through the off side but gets an inside edge onto the stumps. A comprehensive win for Australia, and they have a bonus point as well. India get closer to getting knocked out of the competition. Praveen Kumar b Doherty 1(4)
